A NEW FOUNDATION TO FIGHT OSTEOARTHRITIS

The Floyd Landis Foundation was created on July 13, 2006 – the same day Floyd first wore the maillot jaune (yellow jersey) in this year’s Tour de France and shortly after Floyd first announced that he is afflicted with Osteoarthritis, a painful and debilitating bone disease.  The mission of the Floyd Landis Foundation is to support research for the treatment and prevention of degenerative arthritis (Osteoarthritis), artificial joint replacement and the funding of treatment for individuals, including disadvantaged youth, suffering from the condition.

The Floyd Landis Foundation is a not-for-profit corporation and contributions to the Foundation are deductible as allowed by law.  On July 25, 2007, the IRS granted the Foundation 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status.
